Second blog-like post for my website! I still think this is pretty nifty. I have a bit to update in here–some art related and some not! In non-art related news, I will be graduating Fall 2010 (yippee)! I will be walking with the rest of my “class” in June 2011, but I’ll be done in the fall. Hopefully by graduation I’ll have a more stable full-time job that pays more than 8.55 an hour. Fingers crossed.
In art related news, I have stumbled across a Rat-Rod racing club local to Washington. I’ve offered my pin-up talent to anything they require and hope to hear from them! It’s a pretty nifty club, you should check it out. >> Rat Bastards Car Club Next off, I am going to start offering custom and pre-designed ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) in my shop. If you haven’t heard of ATCs, you should also check them out (IE, Google it). They are normally traditional in media and all unique (hard to recreate a traditional image to exact measure). I hope to use mixed media on them, because I love doing mixed media art (don’t do it enough). More art related news, I am updating my galleries with some recent art and I’m thinking of re-organizing them somehow. I would like to have a separate gallery for pin-up related art, but I don’t have enough to really make a gallery–but because I want to showcase that style the most, I figure I should isolate it from the rest to give people an idea of what my pin-up style is compared to everything else. Also, I have three sets of shoes that I’m working on! Two of which will be for sale (the last pair is my own pair that I’m “reviving”), so keep an eye out for those! I am working on a decent and accurate pricing guide for shoes…so that’s still “in progress”. In decal news, I am slowly finishing the Pirate Ship commission from my aunt and uncle, I have opted that the best way to print the decal would be on a “see-through” material. That way the graphic could take up the entire window without cropping and the driver will still be able to see through the window (otherwise that would be illegal). It will be my first time printing onto this kind of material, and if it works out great, I’ll offer that in my decal printing as well.
And I believe that is all I have to update for now! Keep an eye out for these upcoming changes!
